Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Scorpion Safari

The Hike will follow the beginning section of Goat camp trail as it follows a wash. The Trail is rated as moderate so expect rocky and sandy trail for the full length of the trail which is 2.4 miles out and back. Please make sure to have a flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries or and way to charge your light source. Cell phone lights will not work well. There is no bathroom at the trailhead but water is available. Please make sure to bring plenty of water and during the day make a point to drink more water than you would normally.

MEETING LOCATION: Goat camp Trailhead between area 1 and area 2 on Black Canyon drive

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 5 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 8/25/24.
