Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Scorpion Hike Registration

The hike will cover 3 miles along the North Loop trail on sandy mostly level trail. Hikers should have at least a liter of water with them as well as a flashlight (with a full charge or extra batteries). If you have blacklights feel free to bring them along to help the ranger search for scorpions once the sun goes down. Bathrooms can be found just before the trailhead parking area. There is no water at the trailhead so make sure you bring plenty with you. Before the hike check the weather and make sure you have close toed protective/ supportive shoes.

Limit 25 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 3 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 9/30/25.
