The hike is rated as moderate and will cover 3 miles and gain 300ft of elevation on rocky trail. Hikers should bring plenty of water, wear hiking boots or trail runners, and bring a flashlight and/or blacklight. Please make sure your flashlight has extra batteries or is fully charged. Cell phone flashlights are not sufficient. If you have blacklights feel free to bring them along and help the ranger in the hunt for scorpions.
