Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Riparian Hike

Join Ranger Derik on a hike through pristine riparian habitat as the sun goes down. Along the way learn about the many native plants and animals that call this unique environment home.  

This trail is rated as moderate and can be steep and rocky in some sections and will be 2.4 miles in length. We will be at sunset so make sure to have a flashlight with you (other than a phone light. It is encouraged that you wear hiking boots or running shoes and proper clothing for the weather. There is no water within the park so make sure to plan ahead if your coming from work there are several gas stations and groceries stores just outside the park. Bathrooms can be found down the road and just a short walk into the park.

MEETING LOCATION: Jewel of the creek parking lot

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call Cave Creek Regional Park at 602-506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 4/3/24.
