Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Plant Walk
August 12 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 am
Free with Park Fee
Take an easy-paced walk with Ranger Nikki to see the resilient plants of our desert, including cacti, trees, shrubs and maybe a few summer wildflowers, if monsoon rain has been favorable. The route follows Cinch and part of Scenic Trail for an out-and-back walk of about 2 miles. The terrain is mostly smooth and level but there are a few spots that are sandy or uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. There is little elevation gain. Wear closed-toe shoes, a hat and sun-protective clothing. Bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Trailhead.
MEETING LOCATION: Escondido Trailhead at Four Peak Staging Area, first right turn after the entry booth
