Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Plant Hike

February 22, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Free with Park Fee
Join Ranger Nikki on a hike to see what’s growing and blooming in our beautiful Sonoran Desert.

Take a hike with Ranger Nikki to check on plants such as brittlebush and globemallow and possibly wildflowers such as lupine, poppies and scorpionweed that may have been spurred on from any winter rains received. This is an out-and-back route using Pipeline Canyon and the beginning of Yavapai Trails for 3 miles total. The trails are rated easy to moderate and vary from level and smooth to uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring snacks and water. Restrooms and water are available at the Trailhead.
