Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Mid-Day Meander

January 2, 2025 @ 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Free with Park Fee
Enjoy a mid-day hike with Ranger Olivia to see what wildlife and plants we can spot.
Let’s see what sorts of wildlife we can spot on this hike! Animals might be out and about during this time, but if not, there is still plenty things to see! We will pass many native plants to the desert along with some great views of Lake Pleasant. The route will be on Wild Burro Trail, this will be an easy 2.5 to 3-mile hike. The terrain is mostly level but there are a few spots that are uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
For those of you participating in the annual Maricopa County Parks 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge, this is a great way to earn miles towards your goal! The Challenge runs November 1, 2024 – February 8, 2025. For details on the program please visit: 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge | Maricopa County Parks & Recreation
MEETING LOCATION: Pipeline Canyon Trailhead (off of Peninsula Blvd). See park map here:
