Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Master Gardeners Series – The Juice on Citrus

This month’s class will give you science-based information on incorporating citrus trees into your landscape.

These may be a decorative element, for the purpose of adding shade, and of course giving you and your family/neighbors delicious fruit! Learn about the types of citrus trees suited to our low desert environment, selecting the proper tree and planting spot, maintenance, and harvesting. Resources will be available to help you select the proper tree for your home landscape, as well as information on watering, fertilizing, and pruning the trees. The Gardeners’ goal is to give you all the information you will need to grow a tree that produces beautiful, fragrant flowers, attracts pollinators (necessary for producing fruit), adds value to your home landscape, and produces fruit for your enjoyment in the coming years.

This class is included with your park entry fee. Meet at the shaded picnic area near the main entry flagpole. No registration required.
