Join Ranger Derik for a lunch as you learn how to plan, how to pack and how to stay safe in our desert parks.
Bring a bagged lunch and get out of the office for an hour for a presentation on desert hiking and desert safety so you can explore the Sonoran Desert on your weekends. The talk will be geared towards beginner and intermediate hikers that want to get into hiking or want to try and push themselves on longer hikes in our parks. The ranger will stay 30 minutes after the program to answer any questions you may have.
