Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Full Moon Hike

Come explore the desert by the light of the full moon. See a familiar landscape become a land of wonder under the silvery blanket of the moon’s glow. Blacklights seek out scorpions as other mysteries as laid bare by our celestial guide. If it’s a clear night, even flashlights might prove optional at times. Experience the desert in a new, enchanting way.
We’ll explore the barrier free, 0.5-mile Gila trail under the light of the full moon. Close toed shoes and flashlights are required for your safety. Please bring water for drinking as well. No pets please.

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 6 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 05/10/25.
