Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Fitness Hike

The trail is 3 miles (4.8 km) with rocky terrain, and a 400 foot (122m) elevation gain, featuring a lookout point at the peak. Bring sturdy shoes, sun protection, and plenty of water. We meet on north side of Lake Pleasant, not at the main entry. To get there, take Castle Hot Springs Road north until the road ends; turn right to the ranger booth. Entry is $7 per vehicle, or an annual pass, or your same day receipt. Follow the main road into the park, and park at Cottonwood Day Use on the right. We will meet there by the bathrooms. Please be prepared for the weather/heat and know your limits. Program is weather dependent, check back here for cancellations before attending.
