Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Family Holiday Hike

Maybe you don’t celebrate. Maybe you just wanted to do something new. Maybe your out-of-town family wants to see the desert. Maybe you just want to get everyone out-of-your-house! Either way, Ranger Shaun’s got you.
Come on out and take a stroll for the holidays. Take in the beauty of Cave Creek along this roughly 1.5-mile hike along portions of the Overton, Go John, and Clay mine trails. This hike occurs along easy-moderate rated trails. Closed toe shoes and water bottles required. Temperatures can change rapidly on the trail, dressing in layers recommended.
MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center
Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 12/22/2025.
