The hike will cover 4 miles and gain 427 ft of elevation along the Beardsley trail. A majority of this hike will be in the dark so hikers must have a flashlight or headlamp and if you have on a blacklight is not a bad idea. Hikers must also bring water for this hike 2 liters is recommended. Hikers should have comfortable and supportive footwear and if balance is an issue hiking poles are strongly encouraged. Bathrooms and water are locked at the 10 lane boat ramp parking lot just across the street from the trailhead.
