Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Evening Fitness Hike

The hike will cover sections of the Dragonfly and Spur Cross trails covering 3.4 miles and gaining 300ft of elevation. The hike is rated as moderate, and you can expect rocky and sandy trails with a few steep inclines and declines. Hiking boots are strongly encouraged and if you have mobility issues hiking poles can be very helpful. The park had no running water, and the only bathrooms are porta johns so please make sure to have plenty of water with you. As we will be hiking in the dark for a portion of the hike you should have at least 1 flashlight that is fully charged or bring extra batteries with you.
MEETING LOCATION: Covered picnic tables at the Spur Cross Trailhead
Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 10/16/24.
