Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Evening fitness hike

Starting from the Goat camp trailhead the hike will cover 3 miles round trip on steep rocky trail and gaining 800ft of elevation gain. As you hike up into the mountains you will get sweeping views of the Phoenix valley and a night sky full of stars. Hikers should have a flashlight or headlamp with extra batteries, 2 liters of water, and a small bag to carry everything. Hikers are encouraged to wear trail runners or hiking boots. Participants with balance difficulties are recommended to have hiking poles. Water can be found at the trailhead but the nearest bathrooms are located at area 4.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 10/1/25.
