Stop by the Nature Center after your morning hike to see what Ranger Derik carries in his pack to stay safe in the desert heat.
Ranger Derik will have a table set up in the nature center with everything he carries in his bag in the summer to stay safe. Feel free to ask questions on hiking safety, how to train for the heat, how to prepare for a hike, or how to choose a trail. Packing lists and park maps will be available to take home.
