Join Ranger Derik after your morning hikes in the nature center and cool off while you learn how to stay safe hiking in the summer heat.
Website program details: A table will be set up in nature center classroom with an example of what a ranger carries in their pack during the summer. Topics covered will be how to plan, how to find water/ filter water, how to pick a trail, and how to train for longer trips. Feel free to stop by and ask questions about hiking tips, trail recommendations, and training advice. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.
