Join Ranger Kevin and learn about these mystifying and often misunderstood arachnids of the Sonoran Desert.
Come to the Nature Center and let’s chat it up about our venomous neighbor, the scorpion. Bring your curiosity and your questions. We’ll bust some misbegotten myths about these creatures as well as learn why they are worthy of our respect and, if not quite exactly love, perhaps some begrudging admiration. You’ll get to meet some of our local species, plus, we’ll have an interesting assortment of desert artifacts to explore.
