Have you ever wondered about the Preserve’s historic stand of palm trees? Then join Ranger Jacque to learn about them at the picnic area outside the Visitor Center!
Learn about the Preserve’s historic stand of California fan palms, how these tropical trees can grow in the desert Southwest, and their importance to both wildlife and native cultures. Did you know that these palms were sourced from a native population in Arizona? Find out more! We will be hosting this table outside the visitor center at the picnic area. Restrooms are available at the parking lot when you enter the park.
