Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert Wildflower Hike

January 31 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

Free with Park Fee
Learn about and look for Sonoran Desert wildflowers with Ranger Eric.

Join Ranger Eric on a guided hike on the 2.9-mile North Trail loop as we look for and learn about Sonoran Desert wildflowers and their pollinators, as well as other desert plants and wildlife. Based on the fall rains we received, there is a good chance of seeing early spring wildflowers. The trail is rated as easy, but with occasional sandy or uneven surfaces and takes 2.5-3 hours to hike. Please bring your own water and snacks, wear sun protection and sturdy footwear. Restrooms are available just north and south of the North Trailhead.

For those of you participating in the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge (Nov. 1-Feb. 8), this is a great way to work towards your goal! For more details on the program, please visit this link: https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/things-to-do/activity/100-miles-in-100-days-challenge/
