Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert 101 Hike

January 29 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Free with Park Fee
Learn all about the Sonoran Desert ecosystem on this guided walk with Ranger Eric!

Join Ranger Eric for a guided hike to learn about the animals, plants, and ecology of the Sonoran Desert. Based on the fall rains we received, we have a good chance of seeing early spring wildflowers. We will hike about 3 miles roundtrip on easy to moderate grade, with frequently rocky or uneven ground. Please dress in layers, wear protective clothing and/or sunscreen, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water, electrolytes, and snacks for yourself. Restrooms are available at the Slate Trailhead parking.

For those of you participating in the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge, this is a great way to work towards your goal! The challenge runs from Nov.1-Feb. 8.
