Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert 101 Hike

Join Ranger Olivia on this hike for a chance to learn the basics of the Sonoran Desert and answer any burning questions you might have. 

Enjoy a moderate to easy hike along Blevins trail with stunning views of both the desert and surrounding mountains. Whether you are an expert or a novice on the desert, this hike is perfect for learning something new! This hike will be an out and back hike that is about 3 miles on mostly flat terrain with some uneven/rocky areas. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring plenty of water! There is a restroom at the trailhead.

MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead staging area at Blevins trail

 

Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.   Registration for this program will close on 10/31/2024.
