Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert 101 Hike

The hike will cover 2.4 miles and gain 250ft of elevation. The trail is rated as moderate and you can expect a few small inclines and some areas or rocky/ sandy trail. There is no water or bathrooms at the trailhead, but both can be found at the nature center as you enter the park. Please make sure to have sturdy close toed shoes and, if you have mobility challenges, hiking poles are encouraged.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 11/5/24.
