Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert 101 Hike

Explore the Sonoran Desert with Ranger Nikki and learn about some of the plants and animals that you can see along the trails at Usery, including a variety of birds, reptiles, mammals, trees, shrubs and cacti. The route makes a loop using Blevins, Spillway and Levee trails for 4.5 miles on easy to moderate terrain. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Trailhead Staging area.
MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead staging at Blevins east access.
Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Usery Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number and number attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on Thursday, November 9.
