Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Desert 101 Hike

This hike will cover roughly 3 miles on moderate rocky trail and link sections of the Quail, Rainbow Valley, Baseline, and Saddle trails. Over the hike you will gain a little over 300 ft of elevation and lose about the same on a trail that can be rocky and sandy in places. If you have stability issues hiking poles and sturdy hiking boots are strongly encouraged for this hike. Water and bathrooms are available by the front entrance of the nature center and a liter of water is recommended for the hike.
MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center back patio
Limit 25 participants.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 4/26/25.
