September 21, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free with Park Fee
Join Ranger Steve on an easy walk to enjoy a beautiful desert sunset and look for nocturnal animals.

Enjoy an easy walk along the Escondido Trail with Ranger Steve to enjoy the sunset and watch silhouettes of cacti and trees appear along the way. We’ll look for nocturnal wildlife as they emerge from their daytime hiding places. This is an out-and-back walk that covers approximately two miles roundtrip on flat but sandy terrain. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Pemberton Trailhead nearby. Please bring $7 exact cash for the self-pay station or your annual pass.

MEETING LOCATION: Lousley Hill Trailhead.

Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the McDowell Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 3 with your name, phone number and number attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 9/20.
