Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Creatures of the Night – Super Spooky Edition

October is spooky season, so get yourself into the Halloween spirit with this exciting night hike along the Spur Cross and Dragonfly Loop trails. If you can find it in a witch’s cauldron, we’ll be looking for it: scorpions, spiders, snakes, bats, centipedes, toads, insects and more! The trail is rated moderate with some rocky, uneven surfaces, and elevation change. Please bring water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring flashlights; black UV lights are optional.

MEETING LOCATION: Spur Cross Trailhead, which can be found past the entry station, near the Portapotties and picnic tables.

Please note: Entry to Spur Cross Conservation Area is $3 per person. Cash only is accepted. If entry station is closed, please place your money in the payment box at the gate.

Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 10/9.
