Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Creatures of the Night Hike

We will hike roughly 1.5 miles while looking for critters on the Tortoise Trail with Ranger Kevin. Trail is rated easy, with little loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. Animals we may encounter on this evening hike include coyotes, mule deer, javelina, raccoons, skunks, bats, owls, scorpions, spiders and snakes. Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes, and bring water and a flashlight (UV/black light optional). Restrooms are available at the Trailhead Staging Area. Please, NO pets.
MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead Staging Area, south side
Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 3 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 11/28/23.
