June 27, 2024 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 am

Free with Park Fee
Join Ranger Derik on a hike through a chainfruit cholla forest as you learn about the many cacti species found in the Sonoran Desert.

Hike on the Lost Sheep Trail for a 2.5 mile out and back on easy trail. The group will make frequent stops to talk about the many cactus species along the way as well as their uses. The trail can be sandy at places but it generally is flat. This is a great option if you have trouble hiking but still want to get out and enjoy nature. Please make sure you have at least a liter of water and bring plenty of sunscreen its hot out here in the desert. ]
