Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Bug Talk

August 8, 2024 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Free with Park Fee
Join Ranger Shaun for an intro to arthropods and a short bug catching trip!

Come learn about the different groups of arthropods! What is the difference between a bug and an insect? Do scorpions eat spiders or the other way around? Can a whipscorpion sting? Do camel spiders eat camels? What about camel crickets? Water and restrooms will be located nearby and except for the last 15 minutes or so, when we’ll be outside looking for critters, we’ll be inside a climate-controlled Nature Center!

MEETING LOCATION: Cave Creek Nature Center

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 8/6/24.
