Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Ancients of the Deserts Hohokam Hike

The route uses both the Spur Cross and Tortuga trails for 3.5 miles and will gain 410 ft over the length of hike. The terrain on this hike will be rocky and uneven if you have balance difficulties hiking poles are encouraged. No pets, please. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms are available at the covered tables but there is no water in the park so please bring plenty with you. Please bring $3 exact cash for the self-pay station or your annual pass to display on your vehicle.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 6/19/25
