Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Al the Tortoise’s Birthday Shell-ebration!

Al is turning 29! Whether you have met Al the tortoise or not, he invites you to celebrate his special day with a birthday shell-ebration! Al’s party will include getting to meet Al, getting to pet him (butt scratches are his favorite), as well as learning more about our tortoises here in the Sonoran Desert, and we will also be surprising Al with a special veggie/fruit “cake” (so don’t tell him!). If you want to learn more about tortoises, do something indoors with AC, or just want something to celebrate join us at the Nature Center anytime between 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
