Lowell Observatory is excited to announce a special opening for the 2024 Great American Solar Eclipse on April 8. With a partial view of approximately 70% magnitude from Flagstaff, Arizona, the observatory invites the public and media to join in witnessing this striking celestial event.
Event Highlights Include:
- Solar Observing: Safely observe the eclipse with solar glasses and through our specialized solar telescopes, which will be set up around campus
- Meet an Astronomer: with Dr. Amanda Bosh and Dr. Stephen Levine
- Campus Scavenger Hunt
