HeatSync Labs: Laser Cut Box Making

Come make a box! In this class we will help you use box generating tools to customize and cut a box for yourself (or someone you know) on the laser cutter.
In addition we will demo some boxes and share their completed designs. Cover how to import designs with LaserCut 5.3. Show some of the basic modifications for fine tuning generated boxes. Explain how to laser cardboard prototype examples as a quick way to test out designs and discover errors without wasting material.
All supplies included. No age restrictions. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian. Those 12 and under may need help from their guardian with the design.
HeatSync Labs is a non-profit hackerspace where you can make stuff. Come check it out and learn to make things.
This class will NOT certify you to use the laser cutters unsupervised. There is a separate Laser Cutter Certification class which is required to use the laser cutters unsupervised. Laser Certification is not required for this event.)
