Historian Jim Turner will discuss water use from Clovis culture hunter-gatherers to prehistoric irrigation canals; modern Hopi and Tohono O’odham dry farming to present-day American farmers; and major water use legislation over more than three centuries, as Arizonans developed methods to survive our region’s harsh climate.
