Flagstaff Festival of Science: Climate Fresk Workshop

Climate Fresk is a serious game where participants, guided by a facilitator, use their collective intelligence to build a collage and link the causes and consequences of climate change using 42 cards that represent the different dimensions of climate change.
Participants gather in teams of 4 to 8. They discover 42 cards representing the different components of climate change and collaboratively work to identify cause and effect relationships, under the supervision of a trained facilitator to guide them, provide additional insights, and ensure smooth communication.
– REASONING: Discovering and linking the cards and creating the collage
– CREATIVITY: Relaxing, taking ownership of the collage and decorating it
– DEBRIEF: A calm discussion on the participant’s emotions and questions to finally Reservations are required.

Part of the Flagstaff Festival of Science 🎉

The Flagstaff Festival of Science is pleased to present “The Mammoth World of Science” September 22- October 1, 2023! The Festival features 10-days of engaging events and programs, all free, for the community to enjoy and celebrate the wonders of science!

This year’s theme has been designed to showcase the fascinating research and scientific discovery of Beth Shapiro, PhD.

The Festival offers a wide variety of presentations, hands-on workshops, interactive discussions, classroom talks and guided tours led by outstanding Flagstaff scientists and STEAM professionals. Festival-goers will have the opportunity to learn about ancient cultures, the environment of the Colorado Plateau, wildlife, astronomy and biology, as well as many topics at the intersection of the sciences and the arts.

Festival events highlight the innovative research happening right here in Flagstaff! Events are held in a variety of venues and institutions throughout northern Arizona.
