Starting just after sunset at Tynkertopia, participants will have the opportunity to look through a telescope that will target several different astronomical sources throughout the evening.

During this time, there will also be several DIY astronomy activities for children (3rd-8th grade) available at Tynkertopia. A professional astronomer will be on-hand to operate the telescope, assist with activities, and talk about space.

Part of Flagstaff Festival of Science, a free annual 10-day event wholly designed to promote awareness and enthusiasm for science in and about northern Arizona and beyond, and is fondly known as the Best 10 Days of the Year. Established in 1990, it is the longest, continuously running, entirely free science festival in the world.
