Flagstaff City – Coconino County Public Library: In The Garden – Preparing Your Bees For Winter

This presentation will provide the beginning beekeeper with some basic skills to assist in overwintering the beehive and improve the chances for the colonies’ survival through the cold months. We will cover the essential steps of preparing the hives for winter considering warmth, ventilation, food, and predator/pest avoidance.
