Flagstaff City – Coconino County Public Library: Climate Resilience Work Session – Stream Stewards

August 5, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Free

Join us for a Resilience Work Session as a part of the monthly Climate Resilience Project.

Resilience Work Sessions are hands-on workshops to develop skills related to personal and community climate resilience. This month we will be supporting the Stream Stewards. Help us clean up the Rio de Flag during the Watershed Clean-up Series this summer! Cleanups will be hosted on the first Saturday of the month from May through August. Help us remove invasive plant species, woody debris, and litter from the stream channel! As part of the CRP, we will also discuss how the watershed contributes to community climate resilience. Elders/seniors, youth, families, amateurs, professionals, and people of all ages, experience, and climate-knowledge levels are welcome. Wear sturdy, closed toe shoes, long pants and sleeves, and bring water!

Location TBA. Register to recieve an update with the location.

In the months we don’t meet for Resilience Work Session, we will meet for Climate Conversations at the library. To learn more about the Climate Resilience Project, visit the program website.
