Children’s Museum of Phoenix: Making to Learn- ASU’s STEAMtank
May 5 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Free with Admission
STEAMtank is a transdisciplinary class for ASU students to create children’s museum exhibits that teach kids Kindergarten through 8th Grade about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math through imaginative play in a fun-filled environment. The goal is to create a sense of wonder for younger students and get them started learning about STEAM at an early age. In this year-long class, student teams do research, analysis, brainstorming, designing, prototyping and ultimately the building of their own museum exhibit concepts! For their final this year, the STEAMtankers will bring exhibits to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix on Tuesday, May 5th, 9:30 am-12:30 pm.
ASU Design and Art Corp Grant generously sponsor an exhibit created by an Industrial Design Student. STEAMtank is part of the InnovationSpace program in The Design School at ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. Learn more by visiting https://design.asu.edu/innovationspace
