Chandler Public Library: Weather Emergency Preparedness

Preparation can make a world of difference in an emergency. With climate change accelerating, extreme weather events are not only increasing, but becoming less predictable. How can we keep ourselves, our families, and our communities safe in the middle of a weather emergency?

This class will cover the types of weather events we experience here in Maricopa County, as well as ways to best prepare. Learn how to create emergency preparedness kits for yourself and your family, what types of things you should consider keeping in your car and in your home, and how you can help your neighbors, especially those that are older or may have a disability.

Joseph Cruz, Emergency Management Coordinator with Maricopa County, will provide this helpful information, as well as answer questions you may have.
