Chandler Public Library: Water-Wise Workshop – Desert Adapted Trees Expanding the Urban Forest

If you’re a desert dweller, you know it’s always cooler under the shade of a tree, thanks to branches and leaves blocking sunlight. Trees also transpire water, cooling the air and turning CO2 into the oxygen that we need.

Learn how to select, plant, water and maintain desert adapted shade trees from around the world. These trees will need minimal water after they’re established.

This program is supported by the City of Chandler’s Water Conservation Department. Registration is required.
