Chandler Public Library: Water-Wise Workshop – Composting with Worms for Beginners

Learn how to turn kitchen scraps into garden gold with the help of worms in this hands-on vermicomposting workshop. Vermicompost is one of the most potent organic soil amendments you can make yourself, and it is a great way to reduce household waste while efficiently feeding your garden or landscape.

This class, taught by a local market garden farmer and certified master gardener, will cover everything you need to know to start and manage a healthy worm bin at home, including bin setup, care, and troubleshooting in our desert climate. You’ll see a working bin up close; help build one in class and leave with the knowledge and confidence to immediately start making and using vermicompost at home! This program requires registration.
