Arizona Science Teachers Association: Using Observation Tools to Support 3-Dimensional Science Instruction

In this 30-minute virtual session, school administrators and instructional leaders will learn how to use practical observation tools to identify the key features of science and engineering practices (SEPs).

Participants will watch classroom video clips and use these tools to recognize how students actively engage in sensemaking through science practices, crosscutting concepts, and core ideas. This session will build leaders’ confidence in recognizing and supporting 3-dimensional science instruction in real classroom settings.
