Arizona Science Teachers Association: Science and Engineering Practices – Developing and Using Models

The focus of this professional learning opportunity is to introduce the science and engineering practice of developing and using models.
Participants will gain an understanding of what a model is or isn’t and how developing and using models contribute to student sense-making of phenomena-based science. We will also explore this practice in the AZ Science Standards and how it progresses through K-12 grade levels.
