From the local cactus wren to the tropical parrot, investigate the brilliant lives of birds. Meet local teens who created a video game to help protect the environment (NSF #2148016).
Lunch will be provided.
Girls in STEM is a series of educational programs throughout the year that encourages interest in science and engineering among female students in grades 4-8.
Launched in 2013, the program offers a supportive and collaborative environment for girls to engage with each other while working on activities and projects that introduce them to STEM concepts such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Girls in STEM also partners with companies and mentors to speak with students about opportunities in STEM and as a future profession.
