Arizona Game and Fish: Habitat Project | Apache Maid Fence Project

July 25, 2025 @ 5:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Apache Maid which is near Stoneman Lake in unit 6A we’ll be building a logworm fence.

Come join us for the weekend! Arizona Elk Society does amazing work in the forest whether it be building a fence, fixing a water catchment, clearing trees or reworking the land. Our goal is to benefit elk and with that many others benefit as well.
Our projects normally run Friday thru Sunday. We set up a group campsite where everyone can set up their tent or trailer and we’ll set up our kitchen. We’ll feed all volunteers for the duration of the project.

We have lots of different volunteers opportunities on these projects. All ages and abilities are welcome. Yes there will be manual labor work but we also need help cooking, making sure paperwork is filled out, driving the ranger with materials and more.
These are great opportunities to spend the weekend in the woods and give back. Grab your friends or family and come on out!

Please email Russ with questions russj@arizonaelksociety.org
