Pima County Conservation Lands and Resources: Winter Nature Journaling – A Celebration of Change
December 4 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
$5
Join us this winter with Pima County for a creative exploration of the Sonoran Desert.
Through nature journaling, observation and art, we’ll discover how winter transforms the world around us–changing colors and seasonal flora and fauna to the subtle (or not so subtle) effects of light, temperature, and shorter days. We will focus on the shortest days in the Sonoran Desert. Sunrise and sunset times change all the colors of the desert landscapes. No artistic experience necessary. Bring your curiosity, your sense of wonder, and a willingness to slow down and look closely at the natural world.
DIRECTIONS: Feliz Paseos Park, 1600 N. Camino de Oeste 85745 From Tucson, take Speedway Blvd west. At the intersection with Silverbell Road, Speedway Blvd becomes Gates Pass Road. Continue west on Gates Pass Road for about 3.5 miles to Camino de Oeste. Turn right, north, on Camino de Oeste; the park entrance is well marked on the right. Groups meet at the main ramada by the parking lot. There are restrooms and water at this park.
