McDowell Sonoran Conservancy: Fire in the Desert – Educational Hike

Frequent, destructive fires in the Sonoran Desert are a recent development. On this 2 hour and 2.2 mile moderate hike, we will discuss why they are occurring, observe their impact on the Preserve’s ecosystem, and learn how research conducted by the Conservancy is applied to limit their spread.
Restrooms available at the trailhead but no water. Bring water and snacks for the trail. No dogs please. Arrive 15 minutes before start of hike.
