Take a guided stroll to learn about the ecology and history of the Santa Cruz River. Take a guided stroll along the Chuck Huckelberry Loop to see a desert river brought back to life. Learn about the ecology and history of the Santa Cruz – its ups and downs – and how this once-dry portion flows again thanks to recycled water. Along the way, we’ll keep our eyes out for water-loving plants and animals that have returned.
Meet at: Wheeler Taft Abbett Library, 7800 N. Schisler Drive 85741 From westbound I-10 take exit 248 – Ina Road. Head west on Ina Rd. Turn right at the stoplight at Silverbell Rd. Turn right on Schisler Rd. The library is on the right. We will meet in front of the main entrance. Please carry water.
